Several audio recordings of conversations allegedly held with Russian special services by Adrian Albu, a member of the Moldovan parliament from the Party of Socialists, were leaked.

Andrian Albu, a political strategist at the headquarters of Moldovan presidential candidate Alexandru Stoianoglo and a member of the Socialist Party, is allegedly cooperating with the FSB and the Kremlin. EUreporter, citing wiretapped conversations, writes that Andrian Albu has repeatedly communicated with former FSB officer Yuri Gudilin, who is wanted in Moldova on charges of spying for Russia. One of the records shows that Albu periodically flew to Moscow to attend conferences and met with Nikolai Patrushev, the former head of the FSB.

The journalists note that the leaked recordings confirm what is considered a “well-known fact”: Moscow controls and finances pro-Russian parties in Moldova, and the FSB infiltrates its agents into the Moldovan political arena.

Adrian Albu is a member of the Moldovan parliament and, most importantly, a member of the parliamentary committee on security and defense. He represented Stoianoglo in the televised debates, which indicates a clear connection between the two.
Albu regularly travels to Russia to participate in various forums, one of which is the XII International Meeting of Senior Officials for Security Cooperation in St. Petersburg in April 2024.
