The tragedy occurred on December 19 in Vestavia Hills. As Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates told AL.com , Hudson was seriously injured when he hit the road surface after falling from the car. He was rushed to a local hospital. On December 21, the actor died.
A message was posted on the actor's official Instagram page :
"Our hearts are broken. Today, Hudson Meek went back to Jesus. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he managed to accomplish so much and impact the lives of everyone he met.
The Vestavia Hills police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, according to local TV channel WTVM.

Hudson Meek was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, where he also played on the local Rebel Football Team. His obituary, published on the Searcy Funeral Homes website, states that he was a passionate fan of faith, nature, water sports, traveling, and acting.
His film career began with minor roles in TV series and short films, and his real breakthrough came in 2017 when he starred in the film On the Drive, directed by Edgar Wright. In this movie, Hudson played a character nicknamed Baby. The movie became a box office and critical hit, and helped the young actor advance in the industry.
He recently appeared in the popular NBC series Found, and in September he presented his latest work, the film School Duel, at the Deauville Film Festival in France.

Hudson Mick is survived by his parents Derek and Lani, older brother Tucker and grandmothers Margaret and Faye.
The funeral ceremony will be held on December 28 at the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Alabama.
