A 32-year-old woman hit and bit her one-and-a-half-year-old son when he did not want to fall asleep. The court ordered her to undergo compulsory treatment in a psychiatric institution because she was not aware of her actions, the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office reported to UNN.

"During the trial, the prosecutor proved that in March of this year, a 32-year-old woman, at her place of residence, while putting her one-and-a-half-year-old son to bed, who did not want to fall asleep, struck him more than three times on the face and head and bit his buttock," the prosecutor's office said.
According to the conclusion of the forensic psychiatric examination, "the woman, due to her mental state at the time of the criminal offense, could not realize her actions and control them, so the court decided to apply compulsory medical measures to her in the form of hospitalization in a mental health institution with regular supervision.
It is noted that the prosecution in the criminal proceedings against the local resident was carried out on the fact of committing domestic violence, inflicting light bodily harm to her son (Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
