The government has supported the appointment of Nadiya Leshchyk as Ukraine's education ombudsman, according to the government's representative in parliament, Taras Melnychuk, and her predecessor, Serhiy Gorbachev, UNN reports.

"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed (...) Leshchyk Nadiia Vsevolodivna as the educational ombudsman," Melnychuk wrote on Telegram.
"Today, on November 1, 2024, the government has supported the appointment of Ms. Leshchyk to this position. I congratulate Ms. Leshchyk and will support her in this difficult work!" - Gorbachev wrote on Facebook.

The government dismissed Serhiy Gorbachev from his post as Ukraine's education ombudsman on August 16.
