Domestic food producers are in constant dialog with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which has proposed to exclude intermediaries from tenders. This was reported by Natalia Drembluga, president of the association of production and processing enterprises of the meat industry "Meat of Ukraine", in an exclusive commentary to UNN.
According to her, the public will soon learn about the results of this dialog between manufacturers and the new team of the Ministry of Defense.
"You will get the answer by observing the development of a joint dialog and professional consultations between the stakeholders you have identified. I have no doubt about the common understanding and interest in the development of the domestic producer," said the President of the Meat of Ukraine Association.
She called the decision of the Ministry of Defense to create the State Enterprise "State Logistics Operator" a great idea. She expressed confidence that the conditions of access to tenders will not affect the participation of domestic food producers in any way
"In fact, I don't remember any cases when the terms were the main obstacle. Although the multidimensional interpretation of a number of regulatory and technical documents is, in fact, generally present in the legal framework," she said.

Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine presented the State Logistics Operator, a state-owned enterprise that will be responsible for procurement of food for the Ukrainian army.

Arsen Zhumadilov, Director General of the newly created State Enterprise "State Logistics Operator", stated that the new strategy of defense procurement in food provides for maximum participation in tenders of producers, in particular, national ones, and not intermediaries. It also envisages the gradual abolition of discriminatory requirements that created advantages for certain market participants.
