Ukraine's second recruitment center for the Defense Forces was opened in Zaporizhzhia at 27 Tsentralnyi Boulevard. The first recruiting center has been operating since February in Lviv. This was reported by Deputy Defense Minister Natalia Kalmykova on her Facebook page, UNN reports.
"The second recruitment center for the Defense Forces in Ukraine has been launched in Zaporizhzhia. The opening of another recruitment center for the Ukrainian army took place at 27 Tsentralnyi Boulevard and is the result of joint work of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff and the regional military administration," Kalmykova said.
She noted that the center will work as an advisory and information office that will support the enrollment of those wishing to join the Defense Forces, if necessary, and that citizens can receive information about vacant positions in the Ukrainian army and advice on all issues by calling +380 66 183 10 75 or +380 98 835 09 04.
"In November last year, when we had just started developing this area, there was a lot of criticism and skepticism. But thanks to the coordinated work of the team of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, partners from private online platforms, local governments and state authorities, the project took off," Kalmykova added.
She also added that it is planned to organize a network of recruiting centers in each region, where those interested will be able to learn about existing vacancies in the Ukrainian army and clarify everything they are interested in.
In total, 27 such recruitment centers are planned to open in regional centers and large cities in the first half of 2024.

On February 12, Lviv opened Ukraine's first recruitment center for the Ukrainian army, which became a pilot project of a transparent and effective model for recruiting military personnel to the Ukrainian army.
The Army Recruitment Center is a space in the ASC where people can come and ask all the questions they are interested in regarding military service. The task is to create a network of recruiting centers throughout Ukraine.
