President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the struggle for the de-occupation of Crimea remains a priority of state policy, emphasizing the inextricable link between justice for Ukraine and justice for the Crimean Tatar people. The head of state reported this on Telegram, writes UNN.
Today, no one on earth will say that we are not fighting for Crimea and that we have forgotten about Crimea. Every day proves that Ukraine remembers every part of itself, every one of its people, and truly fights for justice for our entire state and every integral part of it
The President emphasized that Russia brought its war to Ukraine, first and foremost, to Crimea, and now through Ukrainian activity – medium-range sanctions against the Russian occupier, a plan of long-range sanctions, and all other forms of pressure on the aggressor – Ukraine is doing everything to force Russia to end the war and restore justice.
And it is Crimea that is at the center of this policy of guaranteeing justice. Russia turned Crimea into a springboard for aggressive operations against other parts of our state and against other countries. Russia tried for a very long time to normalize its war and force Ukraine, all of Europe, and the world to get used to the idea that its aggression supposedly cannot be stopped and justice supposedly cannot be restored

Today, Ukraine is depriving Russia of this springboard and putting an end to its attempts to normalize the war. And when we do this, we remember that justice for Ukraine means justice for the Crimean Tatar people. A people who were forced to go through deportation and decades of abuse. A people who managed to return to their homeland, but whose home the Russians tried to steal again. A people who preserve their vitality and are an integral part of our society
According to him, on the Day of Honoring the Crimean Tatar Flag, which unites the entire Crimean Tatar people, Ukraine affirms that it fights for itself and for all its lands, defends justice for itself and all its people – each and every one, for whom all of Ukraine and Crimea is home.
"We must stop Russian aggression. We must return to freedom all those who are currently in Russian captivity. We must guarantee security and lasting peace for our entire state and all our people," the president emphasized.
