Two men have been detained and notified of suspicion of setting fire to railroad equipment and a military vehicle, and received a monetary reward from their customers for their actions. This was reported on Wednesday by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.
"Two men have been notified of suspicion of sabotage committed under martial law, obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces during a special period and intentional damage to another's property committed by arson (Part 2 of Article 113, Part 1 of Article 114-1, Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office said on social media.
According to the investigation, "the suspects received an order to set fire to the relay and battery cabinets at the railway via an anonymous TG channel for money." "Carrying a paint thinner purchased in advance for arson, one of the suspects poured flammable substance on the relay and battery cabinets near the railway station in Obolon district, and then set them on fire," the prosecutor's office said.

"The suspects also burned the military's NISSAN NAVARA SUV. They filmed their actions to provide it as evidence of the work done," the prosecutor's office said.
As a reward for their services, according to the prosecutor's office, "the attackers received USD 200 for setting fire to a wardrobe and USD 1,000 for a car.
The two offenders have been detained, served a notice of suspicion and custody as a measure of restraint.
The crimes are punishable by imprisonment for up to 15 years or life imprisonment.
