During a telephone conversation between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, the parties discussed the hostile attacks on Mykolaiv the day before and on Okhmatdyt on July 8. Among the things that were not included, but worth mentioning, Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Donald Trump not to believe representatives of those countries who are trying to somehow explain or justify the actions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. There is no justification here. He is an ordinary murderer. The president said so. In a telephone conversation, he spoke about yesterday's strike on Mykolaiv, which again killed people. We discussed and condemned the July 8 attack on Okhmatdyt. Trump said an interesting thing: not to believe in "fake news" that his victory could be beneficial to Russia. He also added that during the phone conversation, both sides agreed in principle to meet.
"We discussed certain time periods when this meeting should take place, but it is too early to talk about it. The teams will still be working and agreeing on schedules and details when it is possible," Nikiforov added.
