Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that he and the head of Sumy RMA Volodymyr Artyukh have established the process of forming humanitarian aid for civilians in the territory of the operation of the Defense Forces in the Kursk region of Russia. This was reported by Klimenko, UNN reports.
We work in Sumy region. The safety of our citizens is paramount. This is a common challenge for the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and local authorities. We act in a well-coordinated manner
He noted that evacuation of residents of frontline communities in Sumy region, provision of humanitarian aid, intensified patrolling of settlements, and response of the State Emergency Service are a priority.
Volodymyr Artyukh, head of the Sumy RMA, and I also established the process of forming humanitarian aid for civilians in the area of the Defense Forces operation in the Kursk region. Ukraine complies with its obligations under international humanitarian law. The citizens abandoned by Russia are mostly elderly people, people with disabilities, and families with children. They need food, water, and medicine. We have already formed about 150 food packages that were sent through the military to civilians in the area of the defense operation
Klymenko emphasized that cruelty is the bloody handwriting of the Russian army.
Humanity and strict adherence to international law are our principles that distinguish us from the Russians
