The Ministry of Defense is spending the last $1.07 billion to purchase new weapons and equipment to replace those that have been withdrawn from stocks and sent to Ukraine
According to him, once these funds are allocated, the Ministry will exhaust the funding available to it to help ensure Ukraine's security.
McCord made the announcement in a letter to the leaders of the House and Senate Defense Policy and Appropriations Committees. The letter is intended to expedite a decision by the U.S. Congress to approve more than $60 billion in aid to Ukraine that President Joe Biden has requested.

The US Ambassador to Ukraine Oksana Markarova reported that the US budget has almost exhausted funds to support Ukraine, and only $1 billion is left for new weapons. Kyiv continues to seek further assistance from Congress.
