The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is working on a draft law on demobilization, but its appearance depends on the situation at the front and other factors. The exact timing of the document's appearance is unknown, and a coordinated position of the General Staff and the Defense Ministry is needed.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is developing a draft law on demobilization, but its appearance depends on "a number of factors" that cannot be influenced by lawmakers. This was stated on the air of Radio Liberty by Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin, UNN reports .

Details

According to Lazutkin, a draft law on demobilization is being developed, but this document depends on a number of factors, including the situation at the front.

I cannot say when the draft law will appear. It depends on a number of factors, not only on the work on the draft law. It depends on the situation at the front, on the pace of mobilization, and on the interaction of those structures that influence this

- explained the Defense Ministry spokesman.

He also reminded that  when the law on strengthening mobilization was passed, the provision on demobilization disappeared after the appeal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, so a coordinated position of both the General Staff and the Defense Ministry is needed.

Recall

In April of this year, Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin said that up to eight months were allotted for the development of a separate bill on the demobilization of military personnel, as instructed by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security.
