The Ministry of Defense has explained how fines will be issued for late data updates and the procedure for appealing them. This was reported by Lieutenant Colonel of Justice, representative of the Central Legal Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Iryna Harbuz, UNN reports.
Citizens who fail to update their military registration data may be held administratively liable. Fines will not be automatically issued, as the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses provides for the imposition of a fine within three months from the date of detection of the offense, but not more than one year from the date of commission of such an offense
According to her, each violation is punishable by one fine. The authority to bring to administrative responsibility for failure to update military registration data has been delegated to the MCC and the JV. The authorized officials of these bodies are responsible for drawing up administrative protocols, collecting case materials and submitting them for consideration to the head, who decides whether to bring persons to justice.
All citizens who disagree with the imposed penalty have the right to appeal to the court against the decision to bring them to administrative responsibility. This must be done within 10 days from the date of the decision. During the court proceedings for failure to update military registration data, a person cannot be held liable again
