The State Enterprise "Defense Procurement Agency" of the Ministry of Defense has announced a tender for the purchase of off-road vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Defense.
Details
A total of 1016 vehicles will be purchased. They must be all-wheel drive, with a payload of at least 800 kilograms and a ground clearance of at least 180 millimeters.
The agency emphasizes that this is the first time the state has conducted such a massive purchase of SUVs.

It is noted that the expected cost was formed on the basis of commercial offers from three official distributors. It amounts to UAH 1,749,865,263.28 for a batch of 1,016 cars and includes the cost of some additional equipment (winch and trailer).
The expected cost of one vehicle that meets the parameters can be no more than UAH 1.7 million, and an open tender will ensure that the most favorable offers are received.

Participants will be able to submit proposals until December 27. Then the winner will be reviewed and selected. The Pick-Up vehicles will be delivered to the troops by March 15, 2024.
Thus, the winner of the tender will have 2.5 months to fulfill this order. The final payment to the supplier will be made only after the machines are delivered.
