The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated more than UAH 5.7 billion for the construction of fortifications in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. This was announced during a government meeting by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports.

"We continue to strengthen our defense lines. This year, the government has already allocated UAH 20 billion for the construction of reliable fortifications. Today we are adding another UAH 5.6 billion, including UAH 1.1 billion for the construction of fortifications in Donetsk region, more than UAH 1 billion for Zaporizhzhia region, UAH 1.5 billion for Sumy region and UAH 300 million and 400 million for Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, respectively," Shmyhal said.
He noted that the work on the construction of fortifications is going on 24/7.

The government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, said that UAH 5 billion 577 million 321 thousand had been allocated for the construction of the fortifications.

Zakarpattia continues to build fortifications in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. There are 13 engineering and fortification construction sites in Zakarpattia's area of responsibility, 12 of which have already completed the construction of shelters for equipment.
