International experts have praised the evidence base prepared by Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise. It will not allow Russia to avoid responsibility for war crimes against Ukraine.

They examined the wreckage of Russian missiles that the enemy recently used to strike Ukraine, made sure that a significant part of the electronics components were not made in Russia, and praised the level of research that will help Russia avoid responsibility for its war crimes. These were the results of the visit of international experts to Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise. Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, provided details in his tg-channel, UNN reports

According to him, a group of international experts recently visited Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise to familiarize themselves with the evidence of crimes committed by the Russian military against Ukraine. Foreign colleagues saw with their own eyes the process of implementing expert work in the field of military research. Among the objects inspected were parts and fragments of Russian missiles recently used against Ukraine. The guests saw with their own eyes that most of the microelectronics components of these missiles were manufactured outside of Russia.

The Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise emphasized that a significant part of the experts' work is now to provide Ukrainian and international courts with evidence of numerous enemy missile attacks, catastrophic damage to civilians, civilian property and energy infrastructure, etc.

He clarified that investigations of crimes committed in Ukraine are carried out by the International Criminal Court, Ukrainian judicial authorities, as well as judicial authorities of other countries. In addition, Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise actively cooperates with the international expert community as part of its membership in the European Network of Forensic Science Institutions.

"The specialists of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise are currently conducting research, the experience of which is unique for many expert institutions of the leading EU countries. Explosive research, if necessary, covers a full cycle of expert analysis of parts and fragments of Russian missiles. Experts provide answers to questions about the composition of materials, the type of explosives, the operation of electronic systems, reading data from storage media, and identifying changes and possible modifications to weapons," Ruvin said.

Separately, the Director of KFI emphasized that foreign colleagues highly appreciated the professionalism of KFI experts and the quality of their research. In their opinion, the evidence base thoroughly researched and prepared by the Institute's experts will ultimately leave no room for Russia to avoid responsibility.

As a result of the cooperation between Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and foreign media, three people were arrested in the Netherlands who were supplying military goods to Russia in circumvention of sanctions.

"We are sincerely grateful to the international investigators whose professional activities help to block Russian routes of illegal supply of foreign microelectronics to equip enemy missiles and drones. Among the latter, we have a successful case of cooperation with Dutch journalists. Their investigation led to the arrest of three people as part of a multinational investigation into an international smuggling network that was working to circumvent European sanctions against Russia. Such small local steps help to increase the effectiveness of sanctions pressure on the aggressor country," said Oleksandr Ruvin earlier.
