The European Commission will allocate more than 65 million euros from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund  to four EU countries to help finance refugees from Ukraine. This was reported by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, UNN reports.

Details

The European Union is currently hosting more than 4.1 million people under temporary protection, which was activated for the first time after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Therefore, it was decided to reduce the pressure on the reception capacity of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Romania and to help them ensure that beneficiaries of temporary protection receive the necessary support.

In particular, countries can use additional funding from the EU budget to help refugees move from collective housing to private housing, attend language and vocational training, and facilitate access to social and health services.

Recall

The European Commission will allocate 4 million euros to improve access to health care for Ukrainian refugees.
