Kirovsky District Court of Dnipropetrovs'k has remanded the mayor of Novomoskovsk, Serhiy Reznik, and the secretary of the council in custody with the possibility of bail of UAH 3 million each. They are suspected of extorting USD 30,000 in bribes from an entrepreneur who wanted to build a dormitory for IDPs. The SBI does not specify the name of the suspect, but as UNN previously learned from its own sources, it is the mayor of Novomoskovsk, Serhiy Reznik.
"On April 11, 2024, the Kirovskyi District Court of Dnipro imposed a preventive measure on city council officials detained by the SBI for receiving a bribe of USD 30 thousand. USD. The court sent them to custody with the possibility of bail of UAH 3 million each," the SBI's regional office said.
