Gary Oldman, a three-time Oscar winner, celebrates his birthday today.

Today, March 21, British actor and three-time Oscar winner Gary Oldman celebrates his 63rd birthday. UNN has prepared for you a selection of films with this artist, whose talent is admired by other colleagues, from Brad Pitt to Daniel Radcliffe.

JFK (1991)

In this dramatic film, Gary Oldman plays Lee Harvey Oswald, who is accused of assassinating US President John F. Kennedy.  

The film was directed by Oliver Stone, and the cast, in addition to Oldman, includes Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Bacon and Joe Pesci.

The events in the film unfold after the Kennedy assassination. The film is a mixture of historical drama and political detective story.

Dracula (1992)

An adaptation of the classic gothic novel by Bram Stoker from the legendary director Francis Ford Coppola. In the movie, Gary Oldman had the honor of playing the role of Count Dracula himself. And the British actor coped with it brilliantly. And the film itself is worth watching - it's a creepy and erotic picture that has won many awards.

The movie is set in London at the end of the 19th century. A young lawyer Jonathan Harker and his bride, the beautiful Mina, are full of happiness and plans for the future. However, Jonathan has to visit Count Dracula, who lives in distant Transylvania. Jonathan's client is planning to buy real estate in London, and that's why he supposedly needs a lawyer. But the mysterious Count has other plans, including for Harker's fiancée.

Immortal Beloved (1994)

The drama "Immortal Beloved" reveals the secret of why the works of Ludwig van Beethoven live on through the ages and touch the deepest corners of the soul. Critics believe that the role of Beethoven is one of the best in Oldman's career.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011)

 The film is set in England in the 70s of the 20th century, at the height of the Cold War.

British intelligence is unsuccessfully trying to find a Russian traitor in its rear. In order to identify the traitor, the British intelligence leadership engages an experienced MI6 agent, George Smiley (Gary Oldman), who has to be recalled from a well-deserved vacation. The situation is complicated by the fact that the mole is planted somewhere at the very top of the government, and the whole operation has to be kept in strict secrecy. In the course of the investigation, Smiley himself becomes a target. Will he be able to unravel the mystery or does he not want to?

Darkest Hour (2017)

Gary Oldman won an Oscar for his portrayal of the former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The British actor is said to have been preparing for his role for a year, carefully studying Churchill.
