Police detained a man who entered a restaurant in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Upper Seine) and held four people hostage. This was reported by BFM, according to UNN.

The attacker who took the employees of a local pizzeria captive was the son of the owners. He took refuge in the restaurant but was arrested a few hours after the storming by the elite Parisian police unit (BIS).
The measures began around 13:00 this Saturday. Police cars and security forces wearing helmets and carrying weapons blocked traffic around rue Ernest Renan to create a large security perimeter in the area, located a few dozen meters from the Paris ring road. The man was arrested around 4 p.m. and the four hostages were released unharmed.
It is known that the detainee is about forty years old and suffers from drug addiction. He was arrested and placed in police custody. A psychiatric examination has been scheduled for the man,
The detainee's lawyer told local media that his client's mental state had recently deteriorated. According to local residents, the suspect is known in the area for his anti-social behavior.
“Every day we pass by the restaurant and see him smoking and sometimes using drugs,” a local resident told reporters.
The prosecutor's office opened a criminal case over the abduction and detention.
