Besides, last day the Taiwanese army spotted six Chinese aircrafts in the area of six Chinese aircraft and two ships near the island. One of the aircraft - a Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft, crossed the centerline of the Taiwan Strait to the west of the island.
Taiwan is a self-governing island with a democratically elected National Assembly. However, China still considers the territory its own and has threatened to use force if the Taiwanese authorities officially declare the island as a separate state. The line that was crossed is a kind of unofficial border between China and Taiwan in the Taiwan Strait.
