Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina secured a comeback victory over Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto, Canada, and advanced to the round of 32. This is reported by the WTA, writes UNN.

The match lasted nearly three hours and ended with a win for Ukraine's top-ranked player in three sets – 6:7(5), 7:6(4), 6:4. After losing the tiebreak in the first set, Svitolina managed to turn the tide, won the second set also in a tiebreak, and in the third sealed the victory.
In the round of 32, the Ukrainian tennis player will face the winner of the match between Romania's Elena-Gabriela Ruse and Russia's Anastasia Potapova.
