The service is now rolling out new controls on mobile devices and computers.
You will know they are available to you if you see new options you can select right at the top of your Release Radar playlist. These options include "Discover New Artists," "Editor's Pick," "Easy Listening," and "Pop," among other choices. You will see up to five options at once at the top of your playlist.
In addition to introducing new controls, Spotify has generally improved the Release Radar recommendation system. The service has also given the playlist a new look with a new cover and title.
The company launched Release Radar back in 2016 as another way to discover new music or artists. It releases a new playlist every Friday, containing up to two hours of music for you to listen to. This feature serves as a kind of personalized mixtape with new music from artists you already follow, as well as new tracks from other artists you might like. These updates will allow you to further customize the playlist if you want to reduce the likelihood of tracks you usually dislike appearing in it.
