The cause of death has not been disclosed, but according to sources of the Sunday World publication, Adams committed suicide at his home in Stellenbosch on Saturday morning.
It is claimed that two weeks ago, the 25-year-old footballer was mourning the death of his 72-year-old grandmother, Marianne Adams, which occurred a day before South Africa's match against the Czech Republic at the World Cup.
