In the Mykolaiv region, a conflict occurred between two servicemen that ended in a shooting with automatic weapons - two people were killed. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region.
Details
The investigation established that the incident took place on the night of May 12. A verbal conflict arose between the servicemen while they were consuming alcoholic beverages.
A 35-year-old soldier, along with other servicemen aged 58 and 38, were on duty. During the joint consumption of alcohol, a conflict broke out between the men. During the quarrel, the attacker picked up the automatic weapon assigned to him and fired shots toward his fellow servicemen,
The murder weapon was an AK-74 assault rifle: the weapon and spent cartridges were sent for forensic examination. The 35-year-old suspect was detained. He was notified of suspicion of committing a crime under paragraph 1, part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional murder of two persons.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment ranging from 15 years of imprisonment to life imprisonment. The court will choose a preventive measure for the detainee in the near future.
