Former head of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center Staff Dmytro Kozyura found guilty of high treason. He transferred defense data and information about critical infrastructure facilities to Russian special services.

An SBU colonel has been sentenced to life imprisonment for high treason under martial law and for transferring classified information to Russian intelligence services. According to the investigation, he had been passing data to Russia for a long time regarding defense, the aftermath of missile strikes, and critical infrastructure facilities, particularly after the start of the full-scale invasion. This was reported by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, writes UNN.

The former head of the Staff of the Anti-Terrorist Center under the SBU, Dmytro Kozyura, has been found guilty of high treason under martial law. The colonel, a career SBU officer, had access to state secrets and was responsible for coordinating counter-terrorism efforts. In March 2018, he was recruited by the Russian FSB in Vienna

- the statement reads.

As the Prosecutor General notes, for a monetary reward, he undertook to collect and transfer defense information to Russian intelligence services, including data constituting state secrets.

Since then, he has been in constant contact with his Russian handlers. For conspiracy, he communicated with representatives of Russian intelligence services through an intermediary. He personally signed the ciphergrams.

Active activity began during the period of the full-scale invasion. His duties included spying on SBU command posts and transmitting data on attacks on business centers and the number of wounded military personnel and civilians.

Thus, from 2024 to 2025, the convicted person systematically transmitted information about the consequences of missile strikes on objects in Kyiv, locations of SBU units, data on military units, official documents, and analytical materials

- Kravchenko noted.

He also transmitted documents classified as "secret" regarding critical infrastructure facilities, including the gas transportation system, and plans to increase air defense at these facilities.

In February 2025, the traitor was exposed. In his testimony, he admitted to working for the Russian FSB for financial reward.

Today, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. The one who wore Ukrainian epaulets and started working for the FSB becomes an enemy of Ukraine. For such people, only the harshest punishment. I thank the SBU and prosecutors for their coordinated work. We continue to work

- the Prosecutor General summarized.
