Russian troops have intensified their activity in the Northern sector after the enemy changed their command, Anastasia Bobovnikova, a spokeswoman for the Luhansk military operation, said on Tuesday in a telethon, UNN reports.

"The day started very difficult. It is the third day of fighting in the Siversky sector. There were 16 firefights in the last day alone and the fighting is still ongoing," said Bobovnikova.
The spokeswoman also added that the situation in the Seversky sector is likely to be related to the change of enemy command.
"Before that, the Russians had a lot of failures in this area, they had a change of command. Obviously, the new commander decided to show that he can achieve some results near Siversk," Bobovnikova said.
