Prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent to court an indictment against the deputy commander for work with the personnel of the special purpose mobile detachment "ratibor" of the russian guard in the krasnoyarsk territory on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, UNN reports.
Details
The investigation established that during the occupation of Hostomel in March 2022, the accused, together with his subordinates, held about 100 people on the territory of the aviation enterprise. They were kept in three non-working freezers. The smallest one, measuring 6 square meters, housed 15 people, and the largest one - about 30 or more.
It is noted that there were both civilians and prisoners of war among the detainees.
People did not have the necessary medical care and adequate food, and had to sleep on the floor. Most of them were constantly blindfolded. The temperature of these rooms was as unfavorable as possible. In addition, there was no ventilation, no light and no restrooms
The prosecutor's office adds that the detainees were beaten with hands, feet, and the butt of an automatic weapon. They were tortured with electric shocks, deprived of air by putting a plastic bag over their heads, and imitated executions. By using these prohibited methods, the occupiers tried to obtain information from the victims about the military and political leadership of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and persons who participated in the ATO/JFO.
The victims suffered severe physical and psychological trauma.
