Details

On July 22, rescuers received a report of a fire in a private shop on Myru Avenue in Khmelnytskyi. Crews of the 37th State Fire and Rescue Unit and the Operational Coordination Center promptly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, the rescuers found a fire on an area of 3 square meters, which could have quickly spread to neighboring stores. The firefighters immediately deployed their hoses and successfully extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading.

The probable cause of the fire was a short circuit in the power grid.

Before the rescuers arrived, the concerned man tried to extinguish the fire on his own with a fire extinguisher. During these actions, he was inhaling combustion products. The rescuers provided him with the necessary assistance and handed him over to the medics. The man refused to be hospitalized.
