Processing industry enterprises, based on the results of January – May 2026, provided the largest share of tax revenues to the consolidated budget of Ukraine - 17.9%. This was reported by Acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesia Karnaukh, reports UNN.

According to her, it was the processing industry that became the leader among all sectors of the economy in terms of the amount of taxes paid.
Based on the results of January - May 2026, the largest contribution to filling the budget was made by processing industry enterprises. They provided 17.9% of all tax revenues to the consolidated budget
The second position in terms of the amount of taxes paid was occupied by the wholesale and retail trade sector, as well as repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, whose share amounted to 16.3%.
In addition, public administration, defense, and compulsory social insurance accounted for 11.9% of all revenues, and financial and insurance activities - 10.5%.
The STS also noted the highest growth rates of tax payment compared to the same period last year. In particular, the processing industry increased revenues by UAH 25.8 billion or 17.3%, financial and insurance activities - by UAH 24.9 billion or 32.2%, public administration and defense - by UAH 17.1 billion or 17.4%, and the trade sector - by UAH 14.4 billion or 9.9%.

She thanked taxpayers for their contribution to the financial stability of the state and stressed that every hryvnia paid helps finance the army, social programs, and the operation of critically important state services.
