In the Chernihiv region, power engineers of the Bobrovytsia section of the Nizhyn power distribution company found a tripwire near a power line, UNN reports with reference to Chernihivoblenergo.
According to the company, the incident occurred on August 12.
"On that day, we had to routinely clear the route of a 10-kilovolt power line in one of the villages in Bobrovychchyna. When we got to the out-of-service enterprise, one of the electricians accidentally saw a grenade in an elderberry bush behind its territory. We examined a piece of fishing line tied to it later," said Roman Shilo, a foreman at Bobrovytsia Power Grid Operation Area No. 3 of Nizhyn Regional Electricity Company.
In 2022, the territory of this village was occupied by racists, so it was most likely they who left a "gift" for Ukrainians there.
Roman Shylo immediately reported the dangerous discovery to the dispatcher on duty, who, in turn, called the emergency services - rescuers and police.
The company emphasizes that this is not an isolated case in Chernihiv region. "Almost every week our colleagues in different parts of the region find ammunition near power supply facilities, restore power grids after shelling, or even do their work right under fire.
