Representatives of Petro Poroshenko's European Solidarity faction in parliament did not support most of the European integration bills considered by the Verkhovna Rada in 2022-2024. For the most part, MPs from the EU faction were absent or ignored voting for bills that should bring Ukraine's accession to the European Union closer, reports Movement CHESNO, writes UNN.

Only 45% of the votes cast by MPs from Petro Poroshenko's European Solidarity party for European integration bills during the two years of full-scale war. This is one of the lowest rates in the Ukrainian parliament, according to the CHESNO study.

According to the organization's analysts, the low rate of voting by Poroshenko's MPs for European integration is due to the fact that most members of the Eurosolidarity faction were absent from the voting, abstained or simply did not vote for the bills that provide for Ukraine's movement towards Europe.

Non-factional MPs voted less for the draft laws that would adapt Ukrainian legislation to EU requirements and speed up Ukraine's accession to the European Union than did the European Solidarity faction.

As previously reported, Petro Poroshenko sent a letter complaining about the alleged oppression of the opposition to Oliver Varghese, the Hungarian European Commissioner for Enlargement, who is affiliated with Viktor Orban. Poroshenko suggested that Ukraine's EU accession negotiations should be called into question if he was not allowed to travel abroad. Poroshenko's trip was to take place a few days before the birthday of his conscripted son, who left for London before the war broke out.
