As of April 4, farmers in Poland continue to block truck traffic at three border crossings with Ukraine - Uhryniv-Dolhobyczów, Jagodyn-Dorogusk, and Rava-Ruska-Krebenne. There are about 400 trucks waiting to cross the border to Ukraine. This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko during a telethon, UNN reports.
According to him, the worst situation with truck traffic is at Yahodyn checkpoint. The shortest queue is at Uhryniv.
"In all three of these areas, Polish farmers do not allow trucks to cross into Poland at all, while several trucks are allowed into Ukraine per hour. It is very little at the Yahodyn checkpoint, which is the largest infrastructure area at the border for trucks," said Demchenko.
According to him, only 70 trucks passed through the Yagodyn checkpoint towards Ukraine.
"In total, the queue at these three directions on the territory of Poland towards Ukraine reaches about 400 trucks. There were 200 vehicles each at Yahodyn and Rava-Ruska, and 20 at Uhryniv in the morning," said the State Border Guard Service spokesman.
According to him, there are also queues at previously unblocked checkpoints - about 500 trucks at Krakivka as of the morning, 450 at Shehynya. Traffic is heavy here, but there are queues due to the blocking of other checkpoints.
