It is noted that the man was detained on Wednesday, July 17, in his own home in Colmar, in the Upper Rhine department. He was taken into custody on the order of the Anti-Terrorist Police Department.
According to the TV channel, the detainee threatened to attack the torchbearers and expressed threats against MPs in a telegram channel called the French Aryan Division.
He also had a distinctive nickname, Panzer, which echoes the name of the tanks used by the German army during World War II.
Neo-Nazi literature and items were found in his home.
