Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Gerega has had a residence permit in Spain since 2021 and has declared real estate in Spain worth about UAH 100 million registered in his wife's name.

People's Deputy of Ukraine and co-owner of the Epicenter hypermarket chain Oleksandr Hereha indicated in his annual declarations that he has had a long-term residence permit in Spain since 2021. This was reported by Schemes journalists with reference to the State Register of Declarations, UNN reports.

It is noted that in declarations for 2021 and 2022, Gerega indicated that both he and his wife Halyna Gerega have a long-term residence permit in Spain. However, the MP did not indicate such a document in his 2020 declaration.

The journalists add that they have asked the MP's press service to inform them on what grounds he received such a residence permit and for what purpose. The editors will publish the answer as soon as they receive it.
