In Ukrainе, about 540,000 people are subject to mobilization. Most of them are in the energy sector, agriculture, industry, manufacturing, and transportation. Such data was released by the European Business Association after a meeting with Dmytro Natalukha, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development and author of the economic reservation model, UNN reports.
"Currently, about 540,000 people have been called up for mobilization, most of them in the energy, agricultural, industrial, manufacturing, and transportation sectors. At the same time, it is the white business that bears the greatest mobilization burden, employing people officially," the statement said.
According to the EBA, about 2.7 million men aged 25-60 are currently officially employed, and 600,000 are active as individual entrepreneurs. At the same time, about 1 million men are likely to be in the shadow sector, as the state has no information on their employment.
