Security exercises will be held in the capital today, which include the deployment of temporary checkpoints. UNN reports this with reference to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
The exercises include, among other things, document verification and practicing counter-sabotage measures.
"The Kyiv city defense forces in cooperation with the Kyiv City Military Administration, the patrol and national police, and other structural units are systematically conducting training.
These exercises involve the deployment of temporary checkpoints, installation of restrictive signs and elements of engineering barriers. The training includes checks of vehicles and documents, as well as certain demonstration, search and counter-sabotage activities," said Serhiy Popko, head of the KCMA.
The main objective of the exercise is to improve the management system, organization, and effective interaction to ensure public safety (in case of an escalation of the situation) and certain measures to protect civilians.
"Such trainings will continue to be held in Kyiv on a regular basis. They are necessary to better prepare for the important task of protecting Kyiv and its residents from potential threats," added the head of the military administration.
At the same time, Popko emphasized that all structures, forces and departments of the capital are working every day to protect Kyiv and its residents.
