Today is the tenth anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity. On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported on the results of the investigation of crimes committed in connection with the mass protests in 2013-2014. According to the prosecutors, 540 people have been notified of suspicion over the 10 years of the Maidan investigation. This was reported by UNN.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, 540 people have been notified of suspicion, including:
- 46 high-ranking officials and persons holding managerial positions;
- 299 law enforcement officers;
- 25 prosecutors;
- 33 judges.
318 indictments against 495 people were sent to court.
In 2024, 64 people were reportedly brought to criminal responsibility, including:
- 8 high-ranking officials and heads of law enforcement agencies;
- 32 law enforcement officers, including 6 investigators;
- 21 FSB officers.
In total, since 2014, with the participation of the Prosecutor General's Office and regional prosecutors' offices, courts have delivered guilty verdicts against 76 people, of whom 26 have been sentenced to imprisonment with actual service of their sentences. 68 verdicts have entered into force.
"For investigators and prosecutors, the investigation of the Maidan cases remains a focus of special attention and will not stop even in the face of a full-scale invasion," the PGO noted.
