Lithuania to ban cars with Belarusian license plates from July 18

Lithuania will ban the entry of cars with Belarusian license plates into the country from July 18, with the exception of diplomatic vehicles and personal use until August 16, 2024.

On July 18, Lithuania will ban cars with Belarusian license plates from entering the country. LRT writes about it, UNN reports .

Details 

The ban applies to passenger cars regardless of the nationality of their owner or driver. Cars already in Lithuania must be removed by January 18, 2025.

If car owners fail to do so, they will be fined and their cars will be confiscated.

It is noted that despite the ban, cars with Belarusian license plates are allowed to enter Lithuania until August 16, 2024, if their owners have a valid visa or residence permit and drive the car for personal use (not for sale).

The new restrictions will not apply to cars with Belarusian diplomatic license plates.
