John Krasinski has been recognized as the sexiest man of 2024 by People magazine, UNN reports.

The news was announced on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on November 12, when the 45-year-old actor appeared at the CBS studio, TODAY.com reports.
"Look at him, I got it," Colbert said after announcing the actor as the new titleholder, congratulating him.
Krasinski, who is an actor, writer and director who has directed films such as A Quiet Place, If and others, is married to actress Emily Blunt and is the father of two children: Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8.
"There was so much laughter on the other end of the line," Krasinski told Colbert about the moment he told Blunt that he would be named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2024, adding that actor Matt Damon was the only person he had told about the honor.
In an interview with People published on November 12, he shared his reaction to the news: "Actually just an instant blackout. No thoughts," he said. "Also, maybe I'm being played. I don't wake up like that thinking: "Am I going to be asked to be the sexiest man alive today?" And yet, on this particular day, you did. You really raised the bar for me.
Krasinski also shared his wife's reaction to him becoming the new sexiest man alive, saying that she suggested they wallpaper their house with his picture.
The actor noted that this award is likely to change some aspects of his life: "I think it will make me do more housework.
"After it comes out, she'll say: 'Okay, that means you really deserve it here at home,'" he said of Blunt.

Last year, Patrick Dempsey was "crowned" as the sexiest man alive in 2023 by People magazine, telling the publication that he was "completely shocked" to receive the award.
In 2022, Chris Evans was announced as the winner of the Sexiest Man Alive nomination.
The "Sexiest Man Alive" award dates back to 1985, when Mel Gibson was recognized as the first celebrity to receive the title. Since then, Patrick Swayze (1991), Hugh Jackman (2008) and John Legend (2019) have become winners.
