Israeli companies are negotiating the demolition of destroyed buildings in Gaza. A security official warns of the risks of implementing the plan before the demilitarization of the sector.

Israeli companies have begun negotiations on the large-scale demolition of destroyed buildings and the removal of rubble in the Gaza Strip as part of a possible future reconstruction of the territory. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post citing sources, writes UNN.

Details

According to the publication, the plan involves recycling a significant portion of construction waste into secondary materials, as well as removing part of the rubble. Some areas of Gaza may be completely cleared for further housing construction.

Security service warns of risks

A source in the security service told the publication that the negotiations are unprecedented in scale but expressed concern about their pace. According to him, implementing such plans before the disarmament of Hamas and the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip could have broader security implications.

At this pace, there will be no other choice but to resume hostilities to disarm it and eliminate its underground infrastructure

– said the security service representative.

At the same time, no official confirmation from the Israeli government regarding the start of implementation of these plans has been published so far.
