Near Lutsk, a man threatened to jump from the top of a boiler house chimney. Law enforcement officers managed to persuade him not to commit suicide, UNN reports with reference to the State Emergency Service.

According to the State Emergency Service, a man born in 1981 was standing on a chimney of a boiler house near Lutsk and threatened to jump down.
The rescuer and the policeman who was negotiating with the man went up to him in the cradle of a ladder truck. In turn, psychologists of the State Emergency Service, being on the roof of a nearby building, tried to establish contact with the victim.
Eventually, the policeman persuaded the potential suicide to abandon his intentions. The man was placed in the cradle of a ladder truck and lowered to the ground.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
