"648 people who ate doner kebab in one of the establishments in the Kerfez district on April 1 were hospitalized with suspected food poisoning," the statement said, citing the governor's office.
It is noted that 646 people were discharged, and 2 patients continue to receive treatment.
The governor's office said that two suspects who own a doner kebab business have been arrested in connection with the incident.
After receiving the reports, samples of the company's products were taken. As a result of the inspection, it was established that the products do not meet the requirements of the food regulations. The workplace has been sealed.
