In the Lviv region, unidentified individuals damaged the grave of a Hero of Ukraine; an investigation is underway, and law enforcement officers are establishing the identities of the perpetrators, UNN reports, citing the Lviv Region Police.

The report of the incident was received by the police on June 7 at approximately 3:30 PM from the parents of the fallen Hero of Ukraine.
As preliminary established by law enforcement, unidentified persons damaged the grave of the Hero of Ukraine at the city cemetery in Zhydachiv.
Under the procedural guidance of the Stryi District Prosecutor's Office, information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 1 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – desecration of a grave, other burial place, or the body of the deceased.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Police are establishing the identities of the perpetrators involved in the desecration of the grave.
