The publication first reported that Russian troops had built a pontoon crossing of the Seim River in the Kursk region east of the village of Glushkove, and later reported that a second pontoon crossing built by Russian troops was located east of the village of Zvannoye, and that the latter could be seen on a satellite image on August 17.
"New satellite images taken today, August 19, show that the pontoon crossing between the villages of Zvannoye and Glushkovo in the Kursk region of Russia, previously built by the Russian military, has disappeared - and smoke is rising 500 meters away. Earlier, a fire near the crossing was spotted by NASA FIRMS satellites, which detect fires on the earth's surface," the publication said.
"Another pontoon bridge, built east of the village of Hlushkovo, is still visible in the August 19 image," the publication noted.
The Russian army reportedly began setting up pontoon crossings across the Seim River after strikes on fixed bridges in the area. The newspaper notes that they may be intended to provide Russian troops with escape routes.
