In Sumy, a man sold a non-existent tractor 10 times and thus illegally enriched himself by UAH 619 thousand. His illegal deal was exposed by law enforcement. The case was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of Sumy region, UNN reports.
The suspect posted an advertisement on the Internet, allegedly on behalf of an agricultural company, for the sale of non-existent tractors. He offered interested people to transfer an advance payment to a card or pay for the vehicle in full. Some buyers, after full payment, also transferred funds for the delivery of the tractor to a designated place. Currently, 10 victims have been identified, who lost from UAH 7,900 to UAH 146,000.

According to investigators, the fraudster was a 34-year-old resident of Sumy, who defrauded people all over Ukraine. In total, the suspect enriched himself by UAH 619 thousand during the year of his criminal activity.
Currently, at the request of the investigator and the prosecutor, the court seized the funds to ensure compensation for the victims, and seized 24800 UAH, 420 PLN, 80 EUR and 14920 USD from the detainee.

The offender was served a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense stipulated by Part 2 Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
