Today at about seven in the morning on the Kyiv-Chop highway at the entrance to the city of Dubno, a car accident occurred, as a result of which a passenger was seriously injured. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Rivne region, according to UNN.

Police officers at the scene found that the driver of a Renault Master, a 31-year-old Kyiv resident, lost control of the car on a rounded section of the road and hit a bump.

As a result of the accident, a passenger, a 37-year-old resident of Kremenchuk, was hospitalized with serious injuries in the intensive care unit. Investigators of the Dubno District Police Department launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety rules under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine

The National Police noted that the driver was sober according to the results of the test for intoxication and reported that blood samples were also taken from him.
