A fire broke out in a university dormitory in Kharkiv this morning. Firefighters rescued 2 people using a ladder truck and evacuated 10 more residents due to heavy smoke, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Monday, UNN writes.

The fire occurred on July 29 at about 5 a.m. in a 5-story dormitory building of the State Biotechnology University in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv. A room on the 4th floor was on fire.
Due to the heavy smoke on the upper floors, firefighters had to evacuate ten residents of the dormitory by stairs. In addition, two people were rescued using a fire truck ladder.
The fire was extinguished at 07:00. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service worked at the scene.
