On Wednesday, Hungary decided to extend its state of emergency due to the war in Ukraine for another 180 days.
The voting showed that 135 MPs supported the initiative, while 47 opposed it.

Hungary has been in a state of emergency for over 4 years.
The first such state in the country was introduced due to the coronavirus in 2020, but after it ended, the government announced martial law, which has been in effect since May 2022 and may end no earlier than November 19 this year.
