Harvesting in Ukraine is 2-3 weeks earlier than usual. This is due to the early spring and the absence of prolonged rains during the harvest, which allowed to complete the harvest of the early group of crops by 95% by the beginning of August. This was stated by the acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky during a telethon, UNN reports.

"Indeed, it is going to be about 2-3 weeks earlier. This is due to several factors. One of them is early spring. That is, this year's vegetation resumed earlier than usual. Accordingly, the plants developed faster. The second factor is that there was no significant amount of prolonged rainfall during the harvest. Because if, for example, it rains frequently in July, the harvest is also delayed. In fact, the combination of these two factors - early vegetation recovery and the absence of prolonged precipitation during the harvest - allowed us to say that the early harvest is 95% complete," Vysotsky said.
